PvP - Player VS Player Empty PvP - Player VS Player

Player VS Player combat, also known as PvP, is one of the most enticing parts about this game but when done wrong it can scare you from doing it again

PvP in it's simplest form consists of 1 Attacker and 1 Defender. The attacker can only send as many units as their max march size, the defender can defend with as many units as is stored in the location they are being hit at.

One of the reasons PvP isn't as easy as 4 thugs will kill 3 thugs is because of Boosts. Boosts can turn thugs into the equivalent of a frontman.

When you are engaging in PvP there are several things that should be in your head during it -

Enemy Players crew status: Are they in a crew? If so, they might get reinforced if they have any crew members online
Enemy Players Power: Although power is just a number, if you are hitting a player with double your power that means they have double what you have to defend with. Make sure you scout!
How active are they?: This may not seem like something as important but if you are hitting someone who is only active while you sleep, chances are they won't be online to defend against the hit. Still worth caution.
Have the hit crew previously: If the player you are hitting frequently attacks your crew then you know they will most likely retaliate. Before you hit a player, move any defence you aren't willing to lose to your Doria in case they speed in a hit against you while you are hitting them.

When setting up a march to wipe someones defence you need to consider the following -

Enemy Boosts
Enemy Unit Levels
Enemy Unit count
Your Boosts
Your Unit Levels
Your March Size.

Each one of this impacts hugely on the outcome of the battle. If the opponent has better boosts than you and the same everything else... they will win. However if you send more units you may then win.
The best way to prepare is to scout what they are defending with, either with La Cugina or sending a 1 unit march at them and looking at the report. Once you know what they are defending with, decide how much it would take to kill their defence and add a bit more to lessen the losses.

One very very very important part of PvP is the inter-unit buffs. Some units offer buffs to fellow units meaning when you send 2 particular types, they will boost each other which increase your chance of a victory!
